Location

Walter's CabinShrine Mountain Inn sits high atop Vail Pass, nestled among the pines. At an elevation of 11,209 feet it offers spectacular views in every direction. Located far enough from paved roads to provide visitors with a memorable "backcountry experience," the cabins of Shrine Mountain Inn still provide easy year round access. An ideal first hut trip or weekend getaway, these cabins are located 2.7 miles from Interstate 70, Vail Pass by trail, and 2.5 miles by road during July, August, September, and October.

A member of the Tenth Mountain Division Hut Association, Shrine Mountain Inn is comprised of three rustic log cabins with a modern feel - Jay’s, Chuck’s, and Walter’s. Each cabin has its own unique layout and style, and comfortably sleeps 12 people. All have excellent views of the Gore Range, the Ten Mile Range and Shrine Peak.
